Dr. R Krishna Murthy, Director, Mega Ace Consultancy [India] is a consultant heading S.R. Mohan Das & Associates, a Consultancy firm that specializes in the field of Industrial Relations and Human Resources Management. He is also the Director of Industrial Relations Institute of India, a non-political and non-governmental organization, set up by Mr. Mohan Das and Editor of its monthly update ARBITER.
He has done his Ph.D. in Management from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management. He passed out from Bajaj Institute in 1976 with specialization in the area of Personnel and after doing his Ph.D. completed his LL.B. As an organizational consultant he has been associated with a number of organizations to assist in organizational change and Human Resources Development activities within the organization.
Dr. Krishna Murthy has been associated with many organizations in the capacity of a retainer. This has been for advice on routine H.R. matters or legal issues, matters pertaining to compliance under labour laws, legal queries, handling issues of indiscipline, termination of employment, etc. he has also helped many companies in managing difficult unions, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry in managing medical representatives and field related issues and problems. He has worked with a number of companies as an organizational consultant for bringing about organizational changes as a catalyst and change agent in restructuring and revitalizing the organization. He is currently an advisor on a retainership with companies such as A B N Amro Bank a multinational bank and ACES, a BPO outfit of A B N Amro Bank, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. and Voltas Ltd., part of the Tata group, D H L Worldwide Express the world leader in courier services, Repcol Pvt Ltd. a multinational BPO that is in Bangalore based, Dai-Ichi Karkaria Ltd. and Weiler International Ltd. both Pune based companies. Amongst Pharma companies he is currently associated with Abbott India Ltd., Alembic Ltd., Aristo Ltd., Flamingo Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Hetero Healthcare Ltd., Veritaz Healthcare Ltd. etc.
Dr. Krishna Murthy has wide exposure and expertise as a trainer having conducted many training and management development programmes in MNCs and Indian organizations. He has travelled widely during the course of his three decades experience in the HR field. He has conducted several workshops and seminars on behalf of the National Institute of Personnel Management Baroda Management Association, and Industrial Relations Institute of India. Dr. Krishna Murthy has been involved with both public sector as well as private sector companies and has conducted numerous management development programmes for them.
Dr. Krishna Murthy has worked three years in Larsen & Toubro Ltd. before he joined his father in consultancy and has also visited UK, Switzerland, Italy, Brussels, on UNDP fellowship and fellowship from the International Industrial Relations Association. Dr. Krishna Murthy has also maintained close links with the academic world. He is a visiting faculty, who teaches at the prestigious management institutions such as Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management and S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research to name a few. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Nucleus Securities Ltd and Mega Ace Ltd.
